Home from Home Appeal
Help us to build accommodation for relatives and new facilities for rehabilitation patients, through our Home from Home appeal. We need to raise £500,000 by December 2014.
Football legend David Fairclough is helping to support our appeal, a cause very close to his heart
"My wonderful wife Jan died in The Walton Centre in April 2011, following a brain aneurysm. She received the most wonderful care but sadly could not be saved.
"In the short time she spent in Intensive Care, me and my family kept vigil by her side, taking short breaks in a visitors' room where we tried to snatch a little sleep in armchairs.
"I would like to ask you to join me in supporting this appeal, to build a home from home for relatives staying near to their loved ones undergoing lifesaving treatment at The Walton Centre."
Home from Home for relatives
With your help, we will build a home from home for relatives who want to stay near to loved ones undergoing lifesaving treatment in our Liverpool hospital. It will include eight, ensuite bedrooms with a sitting area, laundry and kitchen, giving visitors the comforts of home to support them through traumatic times. This will be part of a new, three-storey building which will enable a major expansion of The Walton Centre, scheduled for completion at the end of 2014.
