The Walton Centre Charity

The Walton Centre Charity (Registered charity no: 1050050) supports the work of The Walton Centre in Liverpool - a specialist neuroscience hospital treating over 100,000 patients a year with conditions including head and spinal trauma injuries; tumours of the nervous system; epilepsy; multiple sclerosis and motorneurone disease.

The Charity helps support excellence in neuroscience by funding a variety of projects at the hospital which help improve patient care and services.  These include innovative equipment; research; as well as improved facilities for our patients and families.  It also supports staff with enhanced training opportunities to ensure they remain at the centre of clinical and research developments.

We could not continue to do this without the support of our amazing donors - here are some examples of where they have made a real difference:

Patient & Family Facilities Research  Equipment
Home from Home  Claustrophobia Clinic  Patient iPads
£500,000 was raised through an appeal to provide relatives accommodation for families whose loved ones are undergoing lifesaving treatment at the Walton Centre.  The facility is provided for free through continued donations via the Charity.

The project was funded through The Roy Ferguson Compassionate Care Award scheme set up following a donation of £50,000 to the Charity. The scheme funds an annual award of £5,000 to enable innovative research/care projects to be delivered.
