The Procurement Department provides a service to support the needs of the hospital, as well as the individual needs of the departments, divisions and clinicians. 

Their main role is to ensure that The Walton Centre achieves value for money on all of its purchases whilst complying with the relevant UK/EU public sector procurement legislation.

The Procurement Department manages the physical flow of goods throughout the Trust, the replenishment of stock, the negotiation of contracts and the management of the tendering process for high value complex contracts as well as managing the hospital working environment.

The department monitors the on-going performance of suppliers who provide a service to The Walton Centre through contract management to ensure that the Trust is receiving a high standard of service.

Tendering and contracting, legal advice, high level negotiation, product sourcing, product trials, materials management, supply chain and logistics management, supplier and contract management, order processing and order expediting, market and commodity analysing, e-Procurement and e-Requisitioning, and goods receipt and distribution.
