Professional Profile

Dr Wilson has been a Consultant at The Walton Centre since 2005, having completed his specialist training at Nottingham and Manchester. He currently has clinics at The Walton Centre and Countess of Chester Hospital. His subspeciality clinics see patients with multiple sclerosis and related inflammatory CNS disorders, with a particular interest in disease modifying therapies (DMT’s). In addition to MS clinics at Chester and The Walton Centre, Dr Wilson runs weekly general neurology clinics at both sites. He is currently lead clinician for the MS service at The Walton Centre, and also supports Dr Jacob in the national NMO service at The Walton Centre.

Research Interests

Magnetic resonance imaging techniques in MS (awarded DM with distinction 2002) Phase two and three clinical trials in MS therapeutics; several ongoing studies via The Walton Centre Neuroscience Research Centre.
