COVID-19 Restrictions to remain in place at our hospital

We would like to remind you that the restrictions currently in place across the NHS will remain for the foreseeable future. This includes limitations on visiting patients, and infection control measures such as wearing face masks, temperature checks and maintaining social distancing when at our hospital.

COVID-19 Restrictions to remain in place at our hospital

From Monday 19th July 2021, the majority of COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted across England. Many of the safety measures that have been in place for use in public settings such as social distancing and face coverings will be down to personal choice.

It has been decided nationally that the restrictions currently in place across the NHS will remain for the foreseeable future. From 19th July 2021, the existing safety measures at The Walton Centre - and in our other clinic settings within the community - will remain in place until further notice.

This means that patients and visitors will still be asked to:

  • have a temperature check,
  • wear face coverings,
  • maintain social distancing
  • and undertake asymptomatic testing when required.

There will still be limited access permitted within the hospital for visiting and appointments.

As COVID-19 is still prevalent, particularly in the local region, we are continuing with our measures to protect our patients, visitors and staff.

Please keep visiting our website for further information. This page and the visiting guidance page will also be updated if and when there are any changes to announce, in line with national NHS guidance.

More information and updates about visiting, appointments and inpatient admissions, can be viewed at our COVID-19 Hub
