About Andreas Goebel
Dr Andreas Goebel is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at The Walton Centre since 2007. He trained in medicines at the University of Würzburg, Germany and did post-graduate training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Wuerzburg University Hospitals in Germany following by rotations in Oxford and at UCLH, London.
He also completed a two-year postdoctoral research period in post-trauma immunology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA.
Dr Goebel also holds the role of Associate Professor at the University of Liverpool.

The Walton Centre is internationally famous for treating patients with chronic pain, pain which lasts longer than the normal healing process and is still present three months after an injury or illness.
Exercise and continuing to work are key to recovery for chronic pain.
Complex regional pain ayndrome, is often difficult to diagnose. Its main feature is persistent pain in an arm or leg, usually after trauma. It is often associated with changes in temperature, swelling and sensitivity.
