About Jacqui Vinten

Dr Jacqui Vinten is a Consultant Neuropsychologist at The Walton Centre. She previously worked at The Walton Centre from 2000 to 2003 as an assistant psychologist and researcher and completed her PhD on 'The neurodevelopmental effect of anti-epileptic medication on the unborn child' at The Walton Centre.

She completed her Doctoral of Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and completed her training at The Walton Centre in 2006. After qualifying she worked in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital specialising in Neuropsychology and worked with the epilepsy surgery team.

She returned to the Walton Centre in 2010.

Dr Vinten has a special interest in oncology and epilepsy and works with the epilepsy surgery MDT. She has expertise in administering intra-operative cognitive assessments as part of the awake craniotomy team for both neuro-oncology and the epilepsy surgery service.

Dr Vinten is the Neuropsychology lead for ROAM and has research interests in transition services, epilepsy, and neuro-oncology.
