Dr Amit Agrawal is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre, specialising in epilepsy. He is also an Honorary clinical lecturer at The University of Liverpool. 

Dr Aji is currently a Consultant Neurologist, specialising in epilepsy at The Walton Centre and also provide general neurology clinics to Ysbyty Gwynedd and in North Wales. 

Dr Sundus Alusi has been a Consultant Neurologist since 2004 and has a special interest in movement disorders. Since 2020 she has been the clinical lead for movement disorders at The Walton Centre. 

Dr Elaine Anderson is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre, specialising in Neuroanaesthesia and Neuro Critical Care.

Mr Prokopis Annis is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic spinal surgeon. He joined The Walton Centre in 2022 after seven years at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

Dr Alfia Arun works as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at The Walton Centre. Her special interests include neurobehavioural management of traumatic brain injury, tics/Tourette’s, functional neurological and movement disorders.  

Dr Feyi Babatola has been a Consultant Interventional Neuro Radiologist at The Walton Centre since February 2021.

Dr Helen Banks is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, working with inpatients on Seddon Specialist Rehabilitation Unit at St Helens Hospital where those with physical, cognitive or communication impairment after illness or injury are provided with multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

Dr Barakat’s primary interest is in all aspects of adult diagnostic neuroradiology, including brain and spine imaging, as well as body cross-sectional imaging.

Dr Rosie Bathurst is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Ganesh Bavikatte is a Consultant and Clinical Lead in the Rehabilitation department at The Walton Centre in Liverpool, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Liverpool. 

Dr Richard Berwick is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at The Walton Centre.

Dr Viraj Bharambe is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre. His clinical work includes general neurology and stroke clinics as well as neurology outreach at Aintree University Hospital.

Ms Deepti Bhargava is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr Maneesh Bhojak is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre. 

Dr William Bickerstaffe is a Consultant in neuro anaesthesia and critical care.

Dr Shubhabrata Biswas is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre

Dr Adam Boardman is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Walton Centre.

Dr Bonello runs general neurology clinics, movement disorders subspecialist clinics including neurogenetics, deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin for movement disorders at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. 

Dr Daniel Borg is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Martyn Bracewell is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre, carrying out clinical work at The Walton Centre, Noble’s Hospital and North Wales Brain Injury Service.

Professor Andrew Brodbelt graduated from Liverpool Medical School before doing his basic surgical training in Merseyside and Manchester, and neurosurgical training at The Walton Centre. He did his PhD at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. 

Dr Jennifer Burgess is a Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at The Walton Centre and the Clinical Lead for Organ Donation. In addition to her clinical achievements Dr Burgess has also successfully completed a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education. This allows her to provide good quality educational supervision to the anaesthetists of tomorrow.

Dr Christine Burness is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre and joint clinical lead of the Functional Neurology Team. 

Dr Butterfield has a special interest in communication skills and end of life care. She has been involved in communication skills training and simulation workshops at the Trust’s Simulation Centre.  

Mr Neil Buxton is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Since being appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre in 2017, Mr Carleton-Bland has run a full time clinical practice alongside an educationalist practice in undergraduate and post-graduate settings. He is a human factors trainer, he has won a national teaching award from Association for Perioperative Practice and won the postgraduate ‘Excellence in Education’ award 2020 from the North West School of Surgery.  

Mr David Carter is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre, specialising in spinal surgery.

Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre, Honorary Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. 

Mr Emmanuel Chavredakis is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre. He is the Clinical Director for Neurosurgery.

Dr Dinesh Damodaran was appointed Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre in 2014 where he is part of team delivering the Movement Disorder service. 

Dr Kumar Das is a Consultant Neuroradiologist with 15 years’ experience based at The Walton Centre. He has expertise in all aspects of brain and spinal imaging. 

Dr Rhys Davies is the Dementia Lead and the Clinical Director of Medical Education and Research at The Walton Centre.

Mr Marcus de Matas is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr Charlotte Dougan is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Richard Ellis is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Liene Elsone is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre, specialising in multiple sclerosis. 

Dr Bernhard Frank is a Consultant in pain medicine at The Walton Centre, also holding the roles of clinical lead for neuropathic pain and opioid management for chronic non-cancer pain. He is an honorary senior clinical lecturer in pain medicine at the University of Liverpool. 

Dr Lauren Fratalia qualified as a neurology consultant in 2007 and joined The Walton Centre in 2011. She provides general neurology services at The Walton Centre and Whiston Hospital, and has a weekly specialised clinic in the Regional Refractory Headache Service.

Dr Ghadiri-Sani moved to the The Walton Centre for neurology training and has been a consultant since 2017. She has a specialist interest in headache disorders, particularly migraine and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH).

Dr Emily Gibney is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Miss Catherine Gilkes is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr Sapna Girdharilal is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Andreas Goebel is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at The Walton Centre since 2007.

Dr Gilbert Gravino is a Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Susan Griffiths is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Sumit Gulati is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at The Walton Centre.

Dr Manish Gupta is a Consultant Anaesthetist with a special interest in Pain Medicine.

Dr Shahd Hamid is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre. She completed her neurology training and obtained the CCT (Certificates of Completed Training) in neurology. Dr Hamid completed a research fellowship in neuroimmunology and NMOSD. She is an accredited clinical supervisor and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.

Dr Glenn Holland completed his training in clinical neurophysiology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital in London. His junior doctor training and research was completed in the North West of England and he was appointed as a consultant at The Walton Centre in 2020.  

Dr James Holt is the clinical lead of the team delivering the specialist neuromuscular service. He carries out a weekly neuromuscular clinic with a focus on nerve disorders, as well as a general neurology clinic at The Walton Centre. 

Dr Saif Huda completed undergraduate medical training in Liverpool in 2005 and completed neurology specialist training at The Walton Centre in 2017. Dr Huda is the clinical lead for the UK NMOSD highly specialised service.

Dr Hywel does neurology clinics and ward reviews at Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital and EMG and EEG work at The Walton Centre.

Mr Masna Inam is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Professor Jenkinson sub-specialises in neurosurgical oncology for intrinsic brain tumours including awake craniotomy and intra-operative brain mapping for low grade glioma, midline and endoscopic approaches to intraventricular and deep intrinsic tumours, and stereotactic radiosurgery. 

Dr Koleva has been working for NHS since 2019. She completed a fellowship in Neuroanaesthetics and worked in a large neuro-intensive care unit for a year. She is currently working as a locum consultant in Neuroanaesthetics at The Walton Centre.  

Dr Anita Krishnan is the Divisional Clinical Director for Neurology and a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre, specialising in headaches and CSF pressure disorders.

Dr Lakhani was the Clinical Director for Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care from 2012 to 2019 and is currently the Divisional Clinical Director, Neurosurgical division.

Dr Kaythi Latt has been a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Walton Centre since 2015 following specialist rehabilitation training in North West Deanery.

Mr David Lawson is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre. He neurosurgically trained in north London, including subspecialty fellowships in skull base and vascular. 

Miss Maggie Lee is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre. She was previously a consultant in complex spinal surgery in Manchester and is currently an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.

Dr Joanna Lynes is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre. 

Dr Antonella Macerollo has been a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre since July 2018. She is also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at The University of Liverpool. 

Dr Mahalingham is an experienced neuroanaesthetist with training in India and UK, with subspecialist interests in the field of Functional Neuroanaesthesia, Neuroradiology and training in Neuroanaesthesia.

Dr Shagufay Mahendran is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Walton Centre where she is also the Clinical Lead for innovation.

Professor Marson is a Consultant Neurologist specialising in epilepsy. He is an NIHR Senior Investigator and Professor of Neurology at The University of Liverpool where he leads the Liverpool Epilepsy Research Group, and an international authority on the treatment of epilepsy. 

Dr Rosie May is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Simon McCrory is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Martina McMonagle is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Prof Benedict D Michael is an MRC Clinician Scientist and Director of the Infection Neuroscience Lab at the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit for Emerging and Zoonotic Infection and an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Roger Mills is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre specialising in multiple sclerosis. 

Dr Samantha Mills is a full-time diagnostic neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Nasir Mirza is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre specialising in epilepsy.

Dr Peter Moore is Consultant in Clinical Neurology at The Walton Centre. He runs a general neurology and a movement disorder service with a special interest in botulinum toxin treatment.

Dr Vijayam Priya Nair is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Andy Nicolson is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre, specialising in epilepsy. He is also the Medical Director and Deputy Chief Executive.

Dr Sacha Niven has been a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre since April 2003. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at The University of Liverpool.

Dr Ian Pomeroy was appointed as a consultant neurologist at The Walton Centre in 2012. He currently undertakes MS clinics in Liverpool and provides general neurology clinics and a visiting neurologist service in Warrington. 

Mr Radu Popa is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr Graham Powell is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre with specialist interest in epilepsy.

Dr Anna Randall is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Mr Narendra Rath was awarded certification in Trauma and Orthopaedics from a specialist training programme in United Kingdom. His initial spinal surgery training was at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and was followed by higher training at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry. Mr Rath was granted a Master’s Degree in Trauma Surgery and is academically. He specialises in Endoscopic (Keyhole) Spinal Surgery.

Dr Nitika Rathi completed her medical training at Nagpur University in India. She undertook her neuropathology training in Liverpool and was appointed as a Consultant Neuropathologist at The Walton Centre in 2017.  

Dr Sivakumar Sathasivam is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre. He leads the MND service and specialises in neuromuscular disorders in particular myasthenia gravis.

Dr Ian Scott is a Consultant Neuropathologist at The Walton Centre. He provides a diagnostic neuropathology service to The Walton Centre and the wider area and a referral practice in pituitary pathology

Dr Alakendu Sekhar is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr Manohar Sharma is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation. 

Dr Ravi Shekhar Jaipuriar is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre. He has a subspecialty interest in epilepsy.

Dr Silver established the headache service at The Walton Centre in 2004 and since that time has expanded this service to include four headache subspecialist consultants and two clinical nurse specialists.

Mr Ajay Sinha is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in pituitary surgery, paediatric neurosurgery and spinal surgery.

Dr Rekha Siripurapu is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre.

Dr David Smith is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre specialising in epilepsy.

Despite undertaking advanced training in neuro-anaesthesia and neuro-critical care, Dr Smith strives to maintain as broad a range of practice as possible for the benefit of patients at The Walton Centre.

Mr Oluwaseun Sobowale is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Professor Tom Solomon co-leads the Neurological Infectious Diseases Service at the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. 

Mr Nisaharan Srikandarajah is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in complex spine at The Walton Centre and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Liverpool.

Dr Rajesha Srinivasaiah has been working at The Walton Centre since 2010 and is currently a Consultant Anaesthetist.

Dr Jon Taylor is a Consultant in Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care at The Walton Centre. Away from The Walton Centre, Jon works for the ambulance service as a major incident doctor and a volunteer responder, and is also a volunteer responder for Cheshire Search and Rescue.

Mr Sathya Thambiraj is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr Khazina Waraich is a Consultant Neurophysiologist at The Walton Centre. 

At The Walton Centre, Dr Whitehead is the Medical Appraisal Lead and the Clinical Director for Pain Medicine.

Mr Martin Wilby is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

Dr John Wiles specialises in pain medicine from an anaesthetic background.

Dr Williamson undertook his early medical training in London before moving to Liverpool where he completed his neurology training at The Walton Centre.  

Dr Wilson has been a consultant at The Walton Centre since 2005. He is also CCIO (clinical IT lead) for the Trust.

Professor Carolyn Young has been a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre since 1992, and an honorary professor of neurology at the University of Liverpool since 2006.

Mr Jawad Yousaf is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre.

MrRasheed Zakaria is a Senior Lecturer at University of Liverpool and Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre specialising in cranial and spinal  neurosurgery.

Dr Ziso has weekly epilepsy clinics at The Walton Centre as well as general clinics both at The Walton Centre and Whiston Hospital, where she also provides inpatient review.
