About Nisaharan Srikandarajah

Mr Nisaharan Srikandarajah is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in complex spine at The Walton Centre and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Liverpool.

He trained in Medicine and Neurosciences at University College London. He undertook his foundation training in London before completing his neurosurgery speciality training in Liverpool. This included a PhD in cauda equina syndrome at the University of Liverpool. He then completed a competitive internationally renowned accredited fellowship year of training in combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery complex spine at Toronto Western Hospital in Canada before returning to the UK.
His area of clinical practice is neurosurgery specialising in complex spine including spine trauma, degenerative, deformity, infection, tumours and vascular malformations. Research interests include spinal cord injury, cauda equina syndrome, spine tumours, degenerative spine conditions and improving outcomes for spine patients.
