About Jibril Osman Farah
Mr Jibril Osman Farah is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre. He is the clinical lead of the Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgical Service at The Walton Centre. He was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2008 and has been on the GMC Specialist Register since 2007.
Mr Farah is fellowship trained in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery, and epilepsy. His current areas of interest include treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, surgery for epilepsy, surgery for movement disorders (DBS), spasticity, neuro-oncology (tumours in eloquent areas) and degenerative spinal conditions.
He serves in different institutions, is on the editorial board of Acta Neurochirurgica, a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering all aspects of neurosurgery. and is currently the director of the functional and stereotactic fellowship program at The Walton Centre.
In 2023, he was appointed to the NHS England Clinical Reference Group for Neurosurgery and Spinal Services.
