A multiple award-winning Trust
Around 1,500 staff work for The Walton Centre and each one of us is dedicated to providing the best patient care.
The Trust was awarded Investors in People Gold Standard in 2014, 2017 and again in 2020 and is one of only a handful of Trusts to achieve this status of recognising ‘world class HR’. In addition, the Trust also received the Health and Wellbeing IIP Award - and less than 1% of UK employers have this dual accreditation.
Both awards recognise a wide programme of work to improve health and wellbeing; reduce levels of sickness absence; and encourage a culture of learning and personal development that has been on-going for several years. There is a strong culture of trade union engagement with the local representative for Unison leading the internal health and wellbeing agenda.
The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is also classed as outstanding by the Quality Care Commission (CQC).
The organisation offers a dynamic and ever-expanding raft of health and wellbeing activities, In addition, monthly awards acknowledge those who have ‘gone over and above’ the call of duty to benefit either patients or their colleagues. Regular listening events take place in all staff areas and the results are fed back to the Executive Team, with actions taken where possible. In the Friends and Family Staff Test, results consistently show high levels of responses either extremely likely or likely to recommend The Walton Centre for care; and to recommend the Walton Centre as a place to work.
