About Viraj Bharambe

Dr Viraj Bharambe is a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre.

He studied medicine at the University of Southampton and completed post-graduate medical training in Cheltenham, Gloucester and London. He undertook neurology training at The Walton Centre where he developed specialist interests in cerebrovascular medicine and epilepsy. 

His clinical work includes general neurology and stroke clinics as well as neurology outreach at Aintree University Hospital. His specialist clinics at The Walton Centre include first seizure, complex epilepsy and complex cerebrovascular clinics. 

He leads on the neurology placement for Edge Hill University and travels to Universidade Católica de Moçambique for two weeks a year to deliver the neurology block for medical students and help train postgraduate doctors.
