About Colin Pinder
Dr Colin Pinder is a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation at The Walton Centre.
He qualified from the University of Leeds in 1988 and did specialist training in Leeds from 1994 to 1999. He has been a Consultant at The Walton Centre ever since. His work is split between two sites: Clatterbridge Hospital for inpatients and outpatients; and The Walton Centre for Outpatients. I have been the sole consultant looking after the neurological rehabilitation unit for some years now.
I was previously programme director for rehabilitation medicine for the North West and maintain an active interest in teaching and education since relinquishing that post.

Clinical/research interests
Management and rehabilitation of acquired brain injury including all severities of head injury. Management and rehabilitation of spinal cord injury. Management of spasticity with particular reference to use of botulinum toxin, nerve blocks, intrathecal baclofen and intrathecal phenol.
Membership of professional regional and national bodies
Fellow of the Royal College of physicians. Member of British Society for Rehabilitation Medicine. Regional representative for rehabilitation medicine for Royal College of Physicians of London.
