Patient Pass
Please note, the Patient Pass site can only be accessed from a Trust device
Patient Pass is the new referral management system for all Neurosurgery Emergency, Neurology On Call and Neurology Rapid Access Neurology Assessment (RANA) and Thrombectomy referrals.
Please note, all of the above is currently only for secondary care referrals, we are working hard on creating this access for GPs as well.
Referrals for advice on inpatients are screened daily by the respective teams, but for any time critical advice you can still follow any referral with a phone call to the on-call team via switchboard (0151 525 3611).
How do I create an account?
You can create your Patient Pass account to send a referral to The Walton Centre, by following this link: https://patientpass.uhliverpool.nhs.uk
Please note, a valid NHS.net or organisational email address will be required.

Update - 29 April 2026
The below update will happen on Wednesday 6 May 2026.
Please be aware that the Envelope Icon on the Referral List, used to denote an update, will no longer automatically disappear when the record has been viewed.
When a message has been acknowledged by the team looking after the patient, the record must be manually marked as read. This will remove the envelope icon. If a response is added to the record or the referral is closed the envelope icon will automatically disappear. Click here for further information.
