About Peter Moore
Dr Peter Moore is Consultant in Clinical Neurology at The Walton Centre. He runs a general neurology and a movement disorder service with a special interest in botulinum toxin treatment. His research and publications cover primary research in epidemiology, pathophysiology and clinical treatment trials in Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and spasticity. He has co-authored several Cochrane systematic reviews and the RCP (UK) national guidelines for treatment of spasticity with botulinum toxin and co-edited the "Handbook of botulinum toxin treatment" (Blackwell Science 2003) and produced The Movement Disorder Society’s CD ‘Guide to botulinum toxin injections’ in 2004.
He serves as a regular reviewer for many professional journals and research bodies. He is an editor for the Cochrane Movement Disorder Group for systematic reviewing and is on the editorial board of The Botulinum Journal.
He ran the undergraduate neurology teaching programme in Liverpool for eight years. He regularly serves as teaching faculty at national and international meetings. He has recently served a term on the Education Committee of the Movement Disorder Society.
