About Manohar Sharma

Dr Manohar Sharma is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation. He trained in Liverpool and has special interest in multidisciplinary and interventional management of chronic pain including cancer pain, neuropathic pain, trigeminal neuralgia, spinal pain including sciatica, whiplash, including road traffic accidents and neuromodulation implants for chronic pain and bowel/bladder instability. 

Dr Sharma remains active in training and education. He has many active research projects and has had over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals over the last 15 years. He has been an expert pain adviser to NICE and contributed to two guideline development groups and several national guidance documents in personal capacity and on behalf of the Faculty of Pain Medicine.  

Dr Sharma edited the BMA Book of the Year, 2015, "Practical Handbook on Management of Complex Cancer Pain" (Oxford University Press), and has written multiple book chapters and presentations for national and international pain meetings.
