About Colin Pinder
Dr Colin Pinder is a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation at The Walton Centre.
He qualified from the University of Leeds in 1988 and did specialist training in Leeds from 1994 to 1999. He has been a Consultant at The Walton Centre ever since. His work is split between two sites: Clatterbridge Hospital for inpatients and outpatients; and The Walton Centre for Outpatients. I have been the sole consultant looking after the neurological rehabilitation unit for some years now.
I was previously programme director for rehabilitation medicine for the North West and maintain an active interest in teaching and education since relinquishing that post.

Clinical/research interests
- Management and rehabilitation of acquired brain injury including all severities of head injury.
- Management and rehabilitation of spinal cord injury.
- Management of spasticity with particular reference to use of botulinum toxin, nerve blocks, intrathecal baclofen and intrathecal phenol.
