Your patient portal

It’s important to us that you can access information about your care and your appointments quickly, easily, and conveniently.

That’s why we are working with our partners to provide you with a Patient Portal where you can access this information from any smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer.

This page gives you more information about the different areas of our portal and the information you can find on it.

We have also put together some frequently asked questions that may help to answer any queries you may have.

As we are still in the process of developing and improving this service, the way you access information may initially be different depending on what treatment you are receiving from The Walton Centre.

As we roll out new services within the portal, you may find that you receive duplicated messages. This is nothing to be concerned about.

Please keep checking back for the latest advice and information:

UltraMed

You can use Ultramed to complete your ‘Waiting List’ and ‘Fit for Surgery’ questionnaires, digitally, as part of your preoperative assessment process.

You will be asked to provide the same information that would typically be collected during a face-to-face preoperative appointment.

Completing these forms online can help streamline the preparation for your surgery, potentially reducing delays and allowing your procedure to take place sooner.

More information will be provided in due course.

I don’t have a mobile number or landline number – how can I access the patient portals?

If you cannot – or have difficulties accessing the patient portals to see your letters and appointment information, you will receive appointment letters in the post.

How do I access the patient portals?

Anyone who is receiving care from The Walton Centre can access the patient portals.

If your contact details have changed, please let us know next time you see us.

DrDoctor

To allow you to access the DrDoctor area, we will send you a text message from 07903 573088 or an email from no-reply@drdoctor.co.uk with a secure link to the portal. This can be accessed from your phone, tablet or computer.

We recommend that you use a private email address and phone number to access the patient portal to keep your information secure.

You login with your surname, date of birth and postcode and, to ensure your account remains secure, we will also text a code to the mobile phone number associated with your records or call you on your landline giving you a one-time access code, which you will need to enter to log in.

Why have you introduced patient portals?

Having patient portals allows those who wish to – and that have access to digital options – to access information digitally. It will allow us to:

  • Improve how we communicate with you, by offering more options
  • Deliver letters to you faster by sending them digitally
  • Reduce confusion resulting from letters being lost or arriving in the wrong order
  • Save the NHS money by reducing the amount of paper and postage costs
  • Reduce our environmental impact
  • Provide a text reminder before your appointments
  • Give you the ability to request to change or cancel your appointment, without having to ring us
