Health equity plan

 

We launched the Trust's Health Equity Plan in April 2026. This outlines our approach to providing fair and equal access to neurological care across our communities over the next three years.  The Walton Centre's 3 priorities for patients and the wider system are:

Patient priorities:

  1. Communication between specialist services, primary care and acute care
  2. Increase access to specialist services closer to home
  3. Boarder education of neuro conditions for healthcare practitioners across primary, secondary and community providers, and the general public

System priorities:

  1. Data in terms of collection, validation and dissemination
  2. Prevention to support our communities to live well, increasing the number of years in good health
  3. Collaboration whereby individual sectors work together to achieve shared priorities for the greater good to bring about systemic change
